Taiwan’s authority said on 26th that the Taiwan would never encourage illegal travel to Taiwan, the smugglers will face criminal liability if caught.
李宇軒在8月10日以涉嫌違反《港區國安法》被捕，罪名為勾結外國或者境外勢力危害國家安全，李宇軒另被指涉嫌洗黑錢。警務處國安處高級警司李桂華表示，警方早前調查一個團伙，其目的是透過宣傳和積極參與的手法，「要求外國或部分國際組織制裁香港、封鎖香港」，而這團伙在港有2男1女負責運行組織，當中包括李宇軒。
消息指，周庭、李宇軒及李宗澤為「我要攬炒」團隊成員，以宣傳及積極參與要求外國或國際組織制裁香港，該團隊在《港區國安法》立法後仍然積極運作，並協助英國「跨黨派關注香港小組」於8月4日發表《香港警方違反國際人道標準調查報告》，報告提出7頂建議，包括以《馬格尼茨基法》實施制裁特首林鄭月娥、警務處處長鄧炳強等高級官員。警方消息當時證實，「我要攬炒」團隊3人被捕與該報告有關。
在李宇軒被捕當日，壹傳媒集團創辦人黎智英、黎智英的2名兒子、壹傳媒集團行政總裁張劍虹、行政總監黃偉強、營運總裁兼財務總裁周達權及周庭等10人同樣被捕，指他們涉嫌勾結外國勢力、串謀詐騙等。李宇軒及後獲警方准保釋外出，須交出旅遊證件。
被捕者包括11男1女，年齡分別為16至30歲，當中有5人為學生，其他人職業包括測量員、機械技工、售貨員、無業人士等。消息指各人均有案在身或正被通緝，包括涉嫌干犯勾結外國或者境外勢力危害國家安全及洗黑錢罪行的李宇軒，他於本月10日被香港警方國安處拘捕，經扣查獲准保釋候查。其餘被捕者中有4人是「屠龍小隊」成員，包括被控涉嫌參與去年12月灣仔駱克道汽油彈案及華仁書院炸彈案等。據了解，涉及華仁書院炸彈案的被捕人為張俊富、張銘裕及嚴文謙。兩名17歲學生和另一名同船男子涉及於去年9月，被警方在一個單位內搜出汽油彈原材料。有兩名青年涉嫌與去年12月一宗槍彈及攻擊性武器案有關，當時警方檢獲半自動手槍、逾百發子彈、避彈衣、伸縮棍及煙花爆竹等物品。艇上亦有一名男子，涉嫌於今年1月上水村屋農田地的懷疑烈性炸藥DNT案件，被控一項製造爆炸品罪，獲保釋及不得離港，須遵守宵禁令。艇上唯一女子則涉嫌與上水炸藥案有關，一直被警方通緝。

Huang said he recently learned of a protester who said she had been raped by Hong Kong police and needed a boat to smuggle her to Taiwan so that she could receive an abortion.
At least 10 students arrived by plane after escaping from the campus of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where police and protesters were in a standoff for days. Huang connected them with a lawyer who helped them get temporary student visas through a Taiwan university.

- Shenzhen Yantian People’s Procuratorate approved the arrest of 10 Hongkongers for illegally crossing the border area. It approved arrest of another two for organizing illegal border crossing. The case is still under investigation.

被捕9人包括绰号“长毛”的梁国雄前助理唐婉清、“本土民主前线”前成员钟雪莹，还有厨师、文员、无业妇女、售货员和无业男子等。其中唐婉清的丈夫是“民运”分子刘山青，在刘服刑期间，她经常参与社会运动，1994年曾代表不符合资格的丈夫参选葵青区议员，得到梁国雄等人的协助但仍落败。唐还是与“台独”关系密切的香港“社民连”资深成员，曾是时任立法会议员梁国雄的全职助理，直到2017年梁被取消资格失去议席。去年10月，唐婉清涉嫌参与非法集结，被控管有适合作为非法用途的工具。钟雪莹是“青年新政”前立法会议员梁颂恒及游蕙祯的前助理，官非不断。因“宣誓风波”被褫夺议员资格的游梁二人，曾带领钟雪莹等3名助理强行进入立法会会议厅并与保安发生推撞，最终5人被裁定非法集结罪名成立，各被判四星期监禁。2018年2月，钟因涉嫌贩运大麻等毒品被警方拘捕；2019年8月1日，警方搜查一单位查获弓箭、汽油弹及原材料，被捕8人中就包括钟；去年12月，警方拘捕“屠龙小队”成员苏纬轩，同行的钟雪莹趁乱逃脱，一直被警方通缉，如今终于在潜逃10个月后落网。
