Turkey exports boron ore to China by rail for the first time

The departure ceremony of the third Turkish export freight train to China was grandly held at Ankara railway station. The train is loaded with 1000 tons of boron ore and 42 containers in total. The train departs from Turkey and will pass through Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and finally arrive at Xi’an, China, with a total distance of about 8000 kilometers and a running time of 12 days. The train passes through Baku-Tbilisi-Kars transnational railroad, which is an important part of Asia-Europe continental transportation network.

China will not recognize BNO for Hong Kong residents from 1-31-21

1-29-21 If Hong Kong residents choose to hold the BNO passport, they have to abandon the HKSAR passport, China bans BNOs holders from traveling to China, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

“From January 31, China will no longer recognise the so-called BNO passport as a travel document and ID document, and reserves the right to take further actions,” foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian.

Remote Sensing 31 Group 02 satellite

11-29-21 At 12:47, China successfully launched the Remote Sensing 31 Group 02 satellite with a Long March 4C carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, and the satellite entered the predetermined orbit. The satellites are mainly used to carry out electromagnetic environment detection and related technology tests.

Sinovac vaccine arrived in Chile

The first batch of nearly 2 million doses of COVID19 vaccine from Chinese company Sinovac arrived in Chile on Thursday. The vaccine obtained emergency use authorization in Chile on January 20.

Mine tailing, cannot find any trail down, so climbed back up to back track.

侯王宮建於清朝乾隆時期，供奉南宋將領楊亮節。相傳楊亮節曾為保護宋帝昺在東涌灣外開戰，故後來當地村民從九龍城請來「升仙」的侯王「重回舊地」，以祈求協助對抗瘟疫。

New Zealand upgrades free trade deal with China

After eight years and thirty rounds of negotiations, the New Zealand government has put pen to paper on what has been called the world’s largest free-trade agreement.

The deal offers some New Zealand goods faster access to Chinese markets and a reduction in tariffs for paper and wood products.
New Zealand will have 98 per cent free trade with China, its largest trading partner, once the agreement comes fully into force. The upgrade has primarily focused on reducing compliance costs for exporters, and other measures which ease access to China’s markets.

Day hike from Ngong Ping via the Fat Mun Ancient Path to Tung Chung 1-26-21

*法门古道* 是舊日村民來往東涌與昂坪的要道 , *法門古道*旁有一條被稱為「曹溪」的溪流，在鳳凰山與彌勒山之間由上而下流入東涌灣，故此古道又名曹溪古道。

禅七期间禅七起源于佛陀在菩提树下，七日证道。佛陀在菩提树下自誓：若不成道誓不离金刚宝座，实为七日成佛的滥觞。

宝林禅寺，或称宝林寺，为香港一座佛教寺庙，位于新界大屿山凤凰山半麓，地塘仔半216号地段。除年迈高僧外，寺内僧侣都要下田耕种，粮食自给自足。

该寺由悟明法师于1955年开创。悟明法师以苦行见称，在凤凰山独居二十多年。1956年，悟明法师过世后，宝林禅寺由圣一和尚接管。

Day trip to Tung Lung Chau 1-24-21

东龙洲一天遊

*佛堂澳* 將軍澳137區的正式地名為「佛堂澳」，它是一個公眾填料庫(Public Fill Bank)，跟一般人理解的垃圾堆填區，不是同一回事。要明白什麼是公眾填料庫，便必須從了解何謂「公眾填料」開始。所謂「公眾填料」，又俗稱「泥頭」，是指建築廢物中的「惰性廢物」(inert construction waste)，由建築碎料、瓦礫、泥土及混凝土組成，適合用來填海和平整土地。

東龍洲石刻高 1.8 米，長 2.4 米，是現時香港境內所知最大的石刻。石刻的紋飾頗為複雜，整個圖案狀似龍形。

油塘（Yau Tong）位于香港九龙东南的地区，鲤鱼门西北，行政上属于观塘区。现在油塘北部以公屋和居屋住宅为主，南部临海位置现主要用作工业发展的地区已经被政府规划成私人住宅区，但仍有零星的工业大厦存在。而接邻油塘的三家村，已有150年历史，区内也设有观塘鱼类批发市场。

Day Hike from Ngong Ping to Shek Pik 1-22-21

昂坪 – 石壁一天遊

石壁水塘主要的用家原來是香港島的居民，在興建水塘大型工程的同時，亦建了一條輸水管道連接香港島的摩星嶺大口環，中間途經周公島。

*石壁水塘*位於大嶼山西南面，於1963年落成，結集從東面狗牙嶺、西面羗山及北面木魚山與獅子頭山的水源，曾經是全港儲水量最大的水塘 .

*石壁監獄*是一所高度設防的壁監，內裡囚禁著很多甲級重犯，即是被判十年以上及終身監禁的犯人，他們都過著單人囚倉的生活。

石壁石刻于1938年被陈公哲发现。石刻位于石壁监狱以东，石壁水塘堤坝东端下方，距离海岸约300米，相信该处昔日为海边。石刻上的图纹，由同心正方形及圆形的几何纹组成，类似古代青铜器上的图案，因此考古学家估计石刻大约是3,000年前的青铜器时代刻凿。
