Quantum computer operating system

2-8-21 China’s first homegrown quantum computer operating system was unveiled in Hefei, E.China’s Anhui Province on Monday.

The system, developed by Origin Quantum Computing Technology Co Ltd., will be used on quantum computers – a type of new computers that have been touted as being able to solve complex computational problems much faster than any classic computers.

The new OS has been optimized for the resource management and parallel processing capabilities of quantum computers. It can also calibrate the quantum chips automatically, according to the company.

Currently, only dozens of quantum computers are available in the world. Experts believe if they are not being used effectively, their incredible computing power will be wasted.

Remote Sensing 31 Group 02 satellite

11-29-21 At 12:47, China successfully launched the Remote Sensing 31 Group 02 satellite with a Long March 4C carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, and the satellite entered the predetermined orbit. The satellites are mainly used to carry out electromagnetic environment detection and related technology tests.

New Zealand upgrades free trade deal with China

After eight years and thirty rounds of negotiations, the New Zealand government has put pen to paper on what has been called the world’s largest free-trade agreement.

The deal offers some New Zealand goods faster access to Chinese markets and a reduction in tariffs for paper and wood products.
New Zealand will have 98 per cent free trade with China, its largest trading partner, once the agreement comes fully into force. The upgrade has primarily focused on reducing compliance costs for exporters, and other measures which ease access to China’s markets.
