Second inter-city rail in the Greater Bay area

虎门北城轨站 1-16-20 东莞虎门. Another inter-city rail, 穗深城際鐵路 the second one in the Greater Bay area. This one starts in Shenzhen International Airport, connects Dongguan and Guangzhou, these three adjoining cities have a combined population of over 36 million people.

穗深城際鐵路，是珠三角城際快速軌道一條路線，走線大致沿珠江東岸，連接廣州、東莞和深圳機場，其中新塘南至深圳機場段全長73.996公里，新塘南至廣州北站段（期北延段，又稱新白廣城際鐵路）全長77.6公里，最高時速140公里，改造既有廣深鐵路III、IV線30公里，另有琶洲支線17.6公里，使用CRH6A動車組營
運。穗深城際鐵路已於2019年12月15日正式開通。
